Piazza Duomo, Parma

Nestled in the heart of the town, Piazza Duomo is a large square where you will find the Cattedrale, Battistero, Museo Diocesano and the Palazzo Vescovile. The cathedral is considered to be one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in Italy. It is open every day from 10am until 7pm. Multimedia guides can be rented in English, Italian, German or French. They are free if you have a ticket for the Diocescan Muesum or the Baptistery.

    My husband is from Parma so we visit regularly and when our children were little they would spend hours running around this beautiful piazza.
