Puesto 43, Granada

November 6, 2018 | Andalucia, Granada, Spain

Situated on lively Plaza de Gracia, in the city centre’s south-west, is this award-winning marisceria (seafood restaurant). Puesto 43 is run by the third generation of a family of fishmongers who started out as the very first in Granada back in 1913. Though the inside of the restaurant is chic and serves more high-end seafood platters, the more relaxed outdoor area is ideal for families as there’s an enclosed playground right next door.

Beers and wines begin around €2.50, with which you’ll be served delicious tapas, often including plates of fried prawns or fish croquetas (deep-fried, breaded balls of bechamel sauce). Raciones (larger, menu-based servings of tapas) include fried baby squids (€12) and battered cod strips (€9). Be sure to book in advance as this place gets packed out. This place is one not to miss!
