Pyrene Explorer Expedition is the result of more than two decades dedicated to inspiring teenagers to live real adventures in the wilderness. The Pyrene Summer Camp story began in 2001, when the founders decided to give new life to an abandoned farmhouse in the Cerdanya Valley. Since then, this refuge has become their headquarters and the starting point of an adventure that has continued to grow.

Their purpose is clear: to offer life long learning experiences, foster autonomy and teamwork, and always prioritise safety and respect for the environment. They know that challenges can be tough, leaving the comfort zone is not easy, but we also know the satisfaction of expanding our limits .

Pyrene Explorer Expedition is a full immersion into the most iconic mountains of the Pyrenees. Over two weeks, participants explore forests of black pine and fir, swim in turquoise mountain lakes, and climb peaks rising above 3,000 metres. The route crosses 6 valleys, 2 National Parks and 9 peaks leading deep into the hidden Pyrenees, where silence and raw nature take over.

The camp is designed for a small group of fifteen courageous young adventurers, led by three expert local guides. The experience combines nights in guarded and unguarded mountain shelters, camping, and, when the sky allows, bivouacking under the stars. All logistics are managed by the Pyrene team, combining their own vehicles with public transportation to maintain an authentic and sustainable spirit throughout the journey.

This programme encourages each participant to push their limits and discover their inner strength. Storms, heat, glaciers, and steep climbs are all part of the adventure, but so are camaraderie, the calm of the mountains, and the support of a team that guides, motivates, and celebrates every achievement. Pyrene Explorer Expedition is more than a summer camp ; it is a transformative experience that stays with you forever.
