SEK Ciudalcampo International School in Madrid is one of the 9 campuses making up English-speaking SEK International Schools in Spain and Ireland. The school is an IB World School and teaches pupils from 4 months to 18 years of age.

Curriculum

SEK Cuidalcampo was one of the first schools to offer all three programmes of the International Baccalaureate (IB). The school was founded in 1975 and the SEK Group began implementation of the IB in 1977.

The school teaches the three IB programmes:

  • Primary Years Programme (PYP) (3-11)
  • Middle Years Programme (MYP) (11-16)
  • Diploma Programme (DP) (16-18)

The school is also accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education to offer the secondary ESO and Bachillerato qualifications. Tuition is therefore bilingual English-Spanish, with obligatory Spanish language, humanities and culture classes. The PYP and YP offer 50% learning time in English and 50% in Spanish. The DP is fully in English, with students continuing studies in Spanish if they wish to opt for the Bachillerato national Spanish qualification.

Fees & Admissions

The school does not make its fees public. Scholarships are offered.

Location

The school is located in the municipality of San Sebastian de lo Reyes, and is a 40-minute drive from the city centre to the north of Madrid.
