St Patrick’s International School is a new institution in Barcelona currently teaching the English national curriculum up to the end of primary education (3 – 11 years).
Curriculum
St Patrick’s International School offers full immersion in English for primary school children in Barcelona. The school aims to offer secondary education in the near future.
The school has a multilingual teaching model that focuses on English but makes children comfortable with both Spanish and Catalan from an early age.
the school puts emphasis on early stimulation, aiming to generate the ‘maximum number of synaptic connections’ in the developing child’s brain. More information on primary education can be found here.
Location
The school is locatednear Cornellà de Llobregar, on the banks of the Llobregat river and is a 30 minute drive southwest from Barcelona city centre.
Fees & Admissions
The school charges 695 monthly fees for both nursery and primary education. There is a one-off inscription fee of 450 for nursery and 1,450 for primary pupils. See more information on school fees here.

St. Patrick’s has one of the best English programs in Barcelona. Children talk in English with teachers, of course, but also with their peers even in the playground. Talking in English is normal at school. But we don’t take our children to St. Patrick’s only for this reason but because of their innovative methodologies. They take out the best of every child by motivating them from the very beginning. They offer swimming pool in Penguins (the best swimming school in Barcelona), Chinese, yoga, mindfulness, robotics, cooking, corners, music together, bits, joly phonics… It’s a small school with small classes and it allows teachers to concentrate on every student. We are very happy in St. Patrick’s and our children are delighted to be part of this wonderful family, where Gemma Izquierdo, the owner and principal of the school, is the soul of this place.
Hola , nosotros vamos a mudar desde Estados Unidos a Barcelona y nuestro hijo de 4,5 no sabe Castellano. Solo habla inglés y su lengua materna . St. Patrick’s parece ser buena opción por proximidad a la cuidad y los extras que ofrece . Única preocupación que haya mucha rotación de los profesores que mi hijo sufrió bastante en la guardaría que actualmente atiende aquí en USA . Están contentos los profesores con condiciones de trabajo y el sueldo y el trato que reciben de la principal de la escuela? . Muchas Gracias
