For my grandaughters 13th birthday, I got her a special present: an afternoon of cupcake fun with her friends. I came across Star Cakes on the web while looking for customized cakes for her birthday and was surprised to see they had English spoken workshops for kids. The cake I got her was not only beautiful but also delicious, but my old grannies heart realy skipped a beat when I saw how proud she was of the cupcakes she had decorated. She didn´t stop speaking about what she had learnt and how much fun she had had for a week. It was really easy to book, they were very nice and helpfull, I absolutely recommend it. I attended one of Star Cakes workshops over the Christmas Holidays. My son and I had so much fun learning to make a polar bear and Santa Clause out of sugar paste. The best part for me was getting the opportunity to share the experience with my four year old son. The best part for him was eating all our hard work on a cupcake. We also met other mums and kids that, like us, as we don’t have that many English speaking friends. After the class, we spoke to Laura and it seems they can build a “customised” workshop for small groups of kids or mums and kids where you can choose what you want to learn. I totally recommend it. My son Hector and I will certainly try again in the spring. (Susana Gonzalez)
