Taking place every year from the last week-end of November until December the 31st, the Christmas market is a must see. The whole city is involved with a huge number of lights all around town, many little chalets selling gifts, typical Alsatian crafts and food for the celebrations to come.

Even though the streets are crowded downtown, it is an enchantment to wander around into town. Seeing the huge Christmas tree and all the lights, smelling hot wine and bredele, walking from one market to another one is a real pleasure. (GP)
