Strothoff International School is a private, all-day school for children from kindergarten to grade 12 (ages 3-18).
Strothoff International School is located in Dreieich, Frankfurt and was established in 2009. English is the main language of instruction.
Strothoff is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, and is the only school offering the IB programmes in the region. The programmes are:
Strothoff also prides itself in their “high quality after school activities”, including music, drama and sport activities.
All students have to learn German in all programmes. German is taught as two different subjects: “German as a Foreign Language and German acquisition” and “German as mother Tongue and German language and literature”.
The MYP certificate at Strothoff is recognized as equivalent to the Mittlere Reife by the Kultusministerkoferenz (literally “conference of ministers of education”). This makes Strothoff one of only 10 schools in Germany and the only one in Hesse whose MYP certificate is recognized as Mittlere Reife.
The school does not have a strict admissions policy, but asks that all students make an initial enquiry and visit the school before filling out an application form, which should contain the child’s most recent academic report.
