Sunny View School in Torremolinos claims it is the ‘leading British school on the Costa del Sol’. It teaches the British National Curriculum, but offers opportunities for students to obtain Spanish national curriculum exams as well. The school is privately owned and was founded in 1971. It is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS), and also authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Education.

Curriculum

Sunny View School follows the British National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 – 2, or years 1 – 6. The secondary schools follows British National Curriculum guidelines for Key Stages 3 – 5, or years 7 – 13.

Sunny View School is fully authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Education to gain recognition for British GCSE results – which are automatically recognised as their Spanish curriculum counterpart, the ESO, up to year 11 (4º ESO). Read more about curriculums on the school’s website.

Location

The school is located in Torremolinos, less than a 10 minute drive from Benalmadena, a 30 minute drive from Malaga city centre, and a 10 minute drive from the nearest international airport, Malaga-Costa del Sol.

Fees & Admissions

School fees for 2021-22 start from €2,000 – €3,000 annually for early years, rising to €5,000 for Key Stage 5. The school asks for a one-off registration fee of €250. See more about fees here.
