The British School of Almeria is part of the presitigious International Schools Partnership (1 of 11 in Spain). The school teaches the English national curriculum to students aged 2 – 18, while also allowing validating qualifications in the Spanish national curriculum to allow for application to Spanish universities. The school is 20 minutes from Almeria city.

Curriculum

From Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 (11 – 18 years) pupils follow the English national curriculum of GCSEs and A Levels. Until year 11 (ESO 4), validation of exam results by the Spanish education authority is automatic. From years 11 – 13, accreditation depends upon results in students’ English curriculum subjects and extra, compulsory Spanish subjects. Read more about the secondary curriculum here.

Location

The schools is located in the town of Roquetas de Mar on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The British School of Almeria is a 20 minute drive from Almeria city, which has an internatinal airport. The nearest big cities are Malaga, Granada and Cartagena, Murcia.

Fees & Admissions

The British School of Almeria does not make its school fees public, however school fees for the academic year 2020-21 were between€600 – €900 monthly, depending on the pupil’s age. A one-off enrolment of €1,000 is required, as is an annual registration fee of €450.
