The English Centre, Cadiz
The English Centre (El Centro Ingles) is an international school in Cadiz, Andalucia, that offers education programmes from Cambridge Assessment International Education for pupils aged 2-18. The school was founded in 1969 and is co-educational. It is not part of the National Association of British Schools in Spain as primary and secondary education diverges from the English national curriculum to the Cambridge International School model, which they call an International Curriculum.
Early years pupils follow the English national curriculum until primary and secondary education, whose exams are accredited by Cambridge Assessment International Education, an international education department at the University of Cambridge. The school has created their own curriculum, which they call the International Curriculum, that the school says prepares pupils ‘for an International environment’. The school is secular, but offers Catholic religious education and confirmation preparation.
