The Valencia Montessori School (VMS) offers a Montessori education inValencia for children from 4 months to 12 years old.
The Valencia Montessori School was founded in 2012 and follows the Montessori educational model, and also follows the Common Core educational model of American schools.
The school teaches children up to age 12 in three separate programmes:
The main language of tuition is English, but from Elementary students begin to learn Valenciano and Castellano Spanish, allowing pupils to continue studies at Spanish or English-speaking international schools.
Core subjects include Language, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Biology, and History. Integrated with these are activities such as Art, Valenciano, Spanish, Sports and Music. An understanding of ecology is also incorporated into children’s early learning. Pupils can obtain AMI Assistant Courses, such as in Spanish Language, from the Montessori Institute of Valencia at an additional cost.
The school day lasts from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM (Lunch, morning and afternoon snack included).
As an American School in Valencia, the school is officially recognized by NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges). The school is also officially recognised by the regional Ministry of Education (Conselleria d’Educació).

The Valencia Montessori School asks prospective parents to complete an online meet and greet form to begin the admissions process. The school is open to applications year-round, however says there is a high demand for places so early applications are encouraged.
