Vita di Donna is a not-for-profit association giving free advice and assistance by telephone or email on all issues concerning women’s health. It also runs a midwives clinic for medical emergencies.

The website (only in Italian) is a mine of information on all aspects of women’s health: pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, abortion, diet, the national health service and welfare in Italy. I found it particularly useful in early pregnancy when I was trying to get my bearings in a foreign medical culture. (Laura Clarke)
