Women in Business in Lyon

Sophisticated Lyon is recognised as being one of France’s most culturally dynamic cities, with outstanding museums, wonderful gastronomy and a fantastic quality of life. It’s no surprise that an estimated 50,000 expats call Lyon home. Among those, an increasing number of international women and mum entrepreneurs in Lyon are reinventing what it means to be a working mother in France’s third largest city, following their passion to set up a variety of unique and innovative businesses.

Just two hours by train from Paris, with an international airport and access to the Alps and the French Riviera all within a few hours drive, Lyon’s central location makes for an extremely practical business hub.  With business opportunities for mums in Lyon growing in the region all the time, there are a number of networks and organisations offering support and advice for expat mum entrepreneurs in Lyon and the Rhône-Alpes region.
