As any mother will know, travelling with babies and young children can be a stressful experience, even more so if you are travelling abroad and need to take into account all of the equipment you’ll require when you reach your destination.

Babonbo is a baby equipment rental service providing families with important items such as car seats, strollers, high chairs, cots and much, much more.

At the moment they offer their services in Italy, Spain, England, France and Turkey and are planning on expanding their business to cover more countries and cities in the very near future.

Babonbo is accessed though an app available to download on the App Store and Google Play. After downloading the app you will be able to talk to providers based in the city you are visiting and subsequently place an order to rent the equipment you will need, thus making your journey to your destination easier and hassle free.

Who is Duygu Sefa?

Duygu Sefa, Founder and CEO of Babonbo, is originally from Turkey and moved to Italy in 2007 to complete a Master’s Degree.

She worked for more than 10 years in the multinational automotive sector as a Product Marketing Manager, Business Development Manager, and eventually Countrywide Manager.

In 2017, upon returning from her first daughter’s maternity leave, she felt disconnected from work and wanting to start her own business.

After traveling with her daughter, Duygu created the idea of a baby gear rental marketplace to ease the travelling experience for families and give an opportunity for moms to grow a business.

MumAbroad was founded in 2007 as a resource for expat mums who struggled without the support of their extended family.

By 2014, the network had grown to include information on child-related services, schools, family activities, shops, family holidays and restaurants across Spain and three other European countries.

The international network is proud to feature a Women in Business directory, giving home-country, expat and immigrant women a platform to reinvent themselves after maternity leave and serve the MumAbroad community.
