Brewster Madrid is part of an expanding community of international campuses of international schools whose mission is to prepare diverse thinkers for lives of purpose.
Their first campus was founded in 1820 in Wolfeboro (New Hampshire) and after 200 years of academic experience, they decided to continue their journey in Chamberí, the heart of Madrid, Spain.
Chamberí’s historic location gives Brewster Madrid the opportunity to provide an inspiring environment for students´ academic and personal growth. The second campus, located in La Moraleja (Alcobendas), is set to open in September 2024.
The programme is taught in English by mostly American teachers, and has a teaching team with extensive international experience. It is divided into three levels: Lower School (3 to 11 years old), Middle School (11 to 14 years old) and Upper School (15 to 18 years old).
The Brewster Model is both unique and powerful in serving the diversity of thinkers that can be found in all classrooms. First and foremost, their model is designed to acknowledge and act on a simple notion: not all students think alike, and therefore not all students should learn alike.
This model is based on 5 key points: A team based approach, partnership with parents, a strong advisory system, a relevant skill-based education and a comprehensive education, ensuring that each student receives an education that serves his or her particular learning style.
Brewster prioritises joyful learning and is committed to continuous improvement through innovation and research. They offer students the opportunity to shape their educational journey so that each student has the skills, confidence, and desire to exert a positive impact on the world. Brewster strives to provide students with a humanistic and meaningful education – an education that empowers their students to become good citizens who recognise, appreciate, and positively impact both their local and global communities.
All Brewster students belong to an inclusive and welcoming network that stretches across the globe. This inclusiveness helps students to build a deep sense of recognition, respect, and appreciation for different cultural, ethnic, and national groups. Their deep commitment to this core value makes the adaptation of students coming from abroad pleasant and easy.
The admission process for the 2024-2025 academic year has recently opened. The most up to date school fees are available on their website and you can also find more information about their teaching methods. Brewster encourages prospective families to contact their admissions team with any questions or doubts that they may have.
